Profhilo acts as a hydrator, rather than a filler, which makes it a fantastic option for those looking to transform their skin condition and help it look luminous and firm. What to expect
During the Profhilo treatment, very small 0.2 ml doses of a highly concentrated hyaluronic acid gel are gently injected into precise ‘bio-aesthetic points,’ just underneath the surface of the skin. These anatomical points have been very carefully situated to enhance the action and coverage of the Profhilo, stimulating it to react with the skin in a defined area, to provide instant hydration.
The treatment is typically administered in a session lasting 10 – 15 minutes, each dose is akin to a slight pin prick and the injection site leaves a subtle area of swelling for up to 24 hours, which then fades. A full course consists of two sessions, one month apart, with the full effect lasting for up to six months.

Profhilo is an injectable skin remodeling treatment containing very concentrated Hyaluronic Acid (HA), specially formulated for people whose skin lacks volume and elasticity. Rather than just plumping and filling wrinkles, the slow release of HA stimulates the production of collagen and elastin which, in turn, improves skin tone and hydration. The result is improved skin quality lasting for up to six months and this starts to fully take effect within 3-5 days of the second treatment.
Occasionally some redness, tenderness and swelling can occur in the injected areas, usually lasting a few hours but occasionally up to 24 hours. Bruising is unusual but responds well to regular ice pack applications and the use of Arnica.
You should be able to return to normal ‘light’ daily activities immediately after your procedure. However, we recommend that you avoid physical strain and sports for 24 hours after the treatment. It’s also sensible to avoid saunas and hot baths for the first few days afterwards, as they can potentially perpetuate swelling and irritate the injection areas. The same applies to intense sun or UV light exposure.
Final results can be seen around six weeks after the initial treatment, producing plumper, firmer, hydrated skin but there is also a noticeable effect on fine wrinkles as well.
Hyaluronic Acid is naturally broken down by the human body and this can vary from person to person but the results from most Profhilo treatments will last for around six months.
